What is concrete?

A concrete slab is an extremely popular structural component of structures. It is a flat, thick horizontal concrete slab used to build a floor and roof. In addition concrete slabs are utilized to build the floor of some residential buildings as a support for the foundation, or directly on the ground.

Our Concrete Slab Installation Process

Concrete installation can be a challenge in the absence of the required knowledge and expertise. Port St. Lucie Concrete Contractors utilize an exact concrete slab-installation procedure that is in line with codes and standards of the industry.

Safety is a top priority for all concrete projects. Before we begin any project we ensure that we use the appropriate safety equipment. Eye protection Long sleeves, long pants rubber boots, gloves or rubber shoes, are all essential. All of these safeguards protect us from concrete splashes that can harm our overall health and well-being.

Following the same process as previously, we now follow the steps below:

Step 1: Preparation for the Site

We use the same process regardless of whether working on a small slab or big project. For all projects, we make sure the site is prepared. We tidy the area and dispose of debris so that we can begin with a clean slate. We make sure all the necessary materials are readily available during the process of preparation. We schedule the delivery of all materials ahead of actual work. This helps us start and finish the project on time.

Step 2: Create Concrete Forms using Steel and reinforce Concrete Slabs using Steel

Once everything is clean and tidy, we begin to install concrete forms using wire mesh. Concrete forms are strong barriers holding concrete mix in place. It forces concrete mix to adopt a particular shape or shape. We use rebar to strengthen concrete for larger structures. This will ensure that concrete surfaces are stronger.

Step 3: Mixing Concrete Mix

A concrete truck is used to make the process easier. It can also be useful in ensuring concrete materials are properly mixed. Sometimes, we do manual mixing. Most of the time, however we employ an concrete mixer.

Step 4: Pouring Concrete

Once the concrete is mixed, we immediately pour concrete into the forms. We pour the concrete mixture carefully to avoid creating air pockets. The presence of air pockets results from there being insufficient mortar to fill the spaces surrounding the aggregate. Concrete is made by spreading the mix uniformly over the shape.
